Spring Schedule and Information:The registration period for the boys U-9 Team will be Friday, January 1st through Sunday, January 31st. The first day of practice will be Saturday, February 13th from 11AM to 12:15PM. Since this is the first day we will only go for an hour and fifteen, the beginning being dedicated to meeting with the parents. There will be practices from 6pm - 7pm twice a week during the spring season on Wednesdays and Fridays at MARA's Arthur Goodman Park. We will have at least one game scheduled per week. We will have a couple weeks of "pre-season" in February before starting games in March. The season will run through April with a couple of make-up games in May. Spring practice and game schedule:

**schedule is not final** Costs:Player costs will be $250. They will include field expenses, field rental costs, coaching expenses, referee costs, game reversible jersey, game shorts, and reversible practice jerseys. Equipment Needed:This is a full-contact spring season, so all players will need; stick, helmet, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, mouthpeice, cleats, and a protective cup. We will provide Team Uniforms and a practice jersey through the team costs. Players will also have the option to buy their uniforms or shorts. Season Objectives:At this age level the games will be full contact, with the exception of "big" hits, which will be enforced as a penalty. During the spring season we will try and focus more on specific player positions and responsibilities for that position since games will be a 10 v 10 format. However, every player will be encouraged to play each position on the field to help their overall lacrosse I.Q. Coaches will still put emphasis on proper player fundementals and techniques (i.e. throwing with both hands) so that the players are learning the game properly. The spring season will be more structured than the off-season sessions, but with the same mentality of providing a fun, non discriminatory place to learn lacrosse.
