Carolina Kings High School Travel Team Information: The Carolina Kings will be comprised of High School players from Charlotte, Matthews, and surrounding areas. The Kings will play in competitive, collegiate recruiting tournaments during the Summer and Fall seasons. The Kings will be entering 3-4 tournaments for the Fall of 2011. The tournaments we will enter will have some of the best competition as well as some of the best collegiate coaches scouting for players from divisions 1, 2, and 3. Carolina Kings Summer 2012 Tournament Schedule and Information:
All of the below tournaments we will be attending during the 2011 summer season will be full-field 10 v 10 game format. All standard rules will apply as far as penalties and infractions. Each tournament will have variations on running quarters or halves. Each tournament we enter guarantees 3 games, as well as the opportunity to play for the Championship. The tournament dates and locations are listed below, more specific game information will be available closer to the tournament. Practices: Practice will being Tuesday May 22nd. Practices will be from 10am - 11:30am every Tuesday and Thursday at WCWAA's Optimist Park on 5211 Weddington Rd, Weddington, NC 28104. Until school gets out practice will be at Mara on the lower field on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00pm - 8:30pm. Practices will still start on Tuesday May 22nd. The address is Arthur Goodman Park - 1200 South Trade St. Matthews, NC 28105. Team Costs: ***TOURNAMENT FEES WILL NOT BE INCLUDED in team costs.*** Required Summer Package: $975 The required package includes; experienced coaching from former and current NCAA players and coaches, field expenses for practices (May - July), team uniforms (game jersey and shorts), team pack (hat, socks, shooting shirt, sweatshirt) and a practice reversible and shorts. Full Summer Package: $1200 Full package costs will include; experienced coaching from former and current NCAA players and coaches, field expenses for practices (May - July), team helmet, team gloves, team uniforms (game jersey and shorts), team pack (hat, socks, shooting shirt, sweatshirt, bag) and a practice reversible and shorts. Coaching Staff:
Rob Horrigan: Horrigan, an NCAA Head Men's Lacrosse Coach for eight years, started two successful Men's College lacrosse programs. Division III York College of Pennsylvania was Horrigan's first coaching stop. During his time at York College, Horrigan recruited over 60 Student-athletes including the Capital Athletic Conference "Rookie of the year."Most recently, Horrigan started Division II Belmont Abbey College. Where in the programs first year of existence he earned the 2006 Deep South Conference "Coach of the Year." In those two seasons at Belmont Abbey, Horrigan recruited and coached 6 all-conference players as well as the 2007 Carolina's Virginia Athletic Conference (CVAC) "Freshman of the Year," and one of Inside Lacrosse magazine's "Pre-Season All-American Goalies." Steven Ridolfo: Double Varsity letter winner with football and lacrosse at Providence H.S., where he was an all-conference and all-state selection. Holds the PHS record for second most points in a season with 100 points (83g, 17a). Helped PHS win the 2009 state championship. Played in the Great 38 All-Star Game, earning offensive most valuable player honors. Steven will be a Sophomore at Gettysburg College in the fall. |
