High School Winter Lacrosse Training

Turn and Burn is pleased to announce an experience unlike any other in Charlotte, or the Carolinas! A winter training regimen specified for High School players. This is open to All High School players that REALLY want to improve their game. Unlike a winter league, coaches will run a structured "practice-like" lacrosse program. Players will be PUSHED to their potential and held accountable for their lacrosse fundamentals.

The winter training program will run 90 minutes, twice a week, so the amount of time with actual structured coaching is unmatched compared with any other league or captains practices!

Winter Training Information:

Turn and Burn's winter training program will be set up more like a structured Spring practice. Players will practice stick skills, individual position work (shooting, dodging, footwork), fast breaks, clears, rides, ALL unsettled play (2v1, 3v2, 4v3, 5v4), and game-like situations and scenarios (offensive/defensive sets, face-offs, etc...)

Each session will run for 90 minutes. The beginning of each session will start with skill drills and positional work. Then we will move through GB work, unsettled play (other things mentioned above), and end with full-field games. Our full-field games will be set up more as a "controlled" scrimmage, so if coaches notice an area that needs to be worked on, we will stop play and discuss the proper techniques.

The winter program will be run by Turn and Burn's staff, consisting of former and current NCAA Division I-III coaches and players.

Training Schedule/Location:

Our training program will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5:30PM.

Costs and Registration:

This program will be open High School  Boys entering grades 9 through 12. The cost of the Lacrosse Academy will be $300.00. The cost includes; field expenses, coaching from current and former NCAA Division I-III players and coaches in a PRACTICE-LIKE atmosphere, FREE membership to our Jack Frost league, and a TBLax jersey.
