4TH ANNUAL LAX-OFF YOUR TURKEY FRIDAY Date: Friday, November 25th 1-4PM Location: WCWAA's Turf Field Open to: Boys G3-12 and Girls G3-12Cost: Canned Food Donation/Non-Perishable Items Lax-Off Your Turkey Information: Turn and Burn's 4th Annual Lax-Off your Turkey Friday. This is our way of giving back to the community through playing lacrosse. It is open to BOYS, grades 3-12, and GIRLS, grades 3-12. We will divide everyone who attends according to age and skill and play mini-games. MAKE SURE TO BRING ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT! This is a full contact event, however there will be NO HITS ALLOWED, as this event is for fun and charity! The cost for this event will be a canned food donation. All canned donations will be sent to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Charlotte to help their holiday efforts. Our first year we were able to donate close to 200 lbs of food and last year we were able to send over 350lbs of food and a cash donation of $300! This will be our fourth year sending a donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank and our goal this year is to raise 500 lbs of food! This is a great cause and a great excuse to run around, play lacrosse, and have some fun after the Thanksgiving holiday! 2011 Location: The 4th Annual Lax-Off Your Turkey Friday will be located at WCWAA's Optimist Park's turf field. 5211 Weddington Rd, Weddington, NC 28104. The best entrance to use is right by the Southbrook Church.

RESULTS UPDATE from 2010:The 3rd annual Lax-off your Turkey Friday raised 357 lbs of canned food and $300 in cash donations this year, totaling 2,050 lbs of food donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank. The 2nd annual Lax-off your Turkey Friday raised 343 lbs of canned food and $140 in cash donations this year, totaling 1,182 lbs of food donations for Second Harvest Food Bank. Congratulations to TIM BRADY who guessed 350 lbs of food, winning him a free sweatshirt!
